About VPN Guard Dog
VPN Guard Dog is an independent website about VPN services, getting around internet restrictions, and staying safer and more private online. We publish practical guides and comparisons for people who need a VPN at home, while travelling, or on networks that block or filter content.
What we cover
- VPN reviews and comparisons — features, platforms, privacy policies, audits and prices, checked against the providers’ own documentation.
- Restricted networks — how VPNs, obfuscation and other tools behave on networks that filter traffic, and what their limits are.
- Online privacy and security basics — clear explanations of what a VPN does and does not protect.
Our principles
- Facts first. We check information against official sources such as pricing pages, help centres, privacy policies and published audit reports, and we show the date we last checked.
- No absolute promises. No VPN makes you completely anonymous, and no service is guaranteed to work on every restricted network. We say so plainly.
- Clear sourcing. When we rely on third-party testing, we name the source and the date of the test.
- Regular updates. Prices, features and availability change. We review our key pages and correct errors when we find them.

VPN Guard Dog is edited by Alex Chang, who is responsible for the site’s content and editorial standards.
How the site is funded
VPN Guard Dog may earn a commission when readers buy a service through some of our links. This does not change the price you pay, and it does not decide which services we include or how we describe them. Our editorial criteria come first.
